5th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Day was Monday, January 16,
and the beginning of our month of celebration of Black History
at St. Vincent's. Our theme this year is The Beloved Community - a
concept especially important to Dr. King during his last two years of ministry.
On Sunday, February 5, after the 9 AM Mass, there will be an open discussion on the theme of The Beloved Community - its meaning for Dr. King and its meaning for us in this Community of St. Vincent.
This will follow our January 26th Parish Forum - see link at right.
There are available at the back of church reading packets including articles and quotes related to The Beloved Comunity as well as Dr. King's Letter from Birmingham Jail.
The New Roman Missal entered full use at St. Vincent's
on the First Sunday of Advent.
Cards with the new responses are in the pew backs.
