invite you to consider "adopting" a chair for $40. You can either
mail in your contribution or drop it in the collection basket. Please mark it

and evening in the following subject areas: beginning math and reading,
language arts and social studies, math (fractions and higher). Please

UPDATE ON SIGNING
THE COVENANT OF RACIAL HEALING
We're doing better than we first thought!
Recent bulletin notices said that 130 parishioners (12% of our members) have
signed the Covenant of Racial Healing. That was based on old figures about St.
Vincent's membership. The new figure should be more like 20%. (That's estimated
from Parish Council's new membership survey.) Terrific! That means that 1 out
of every 5 parishioners have committed themselves to specific steps to bring
about more racial justice and healing. But 20% is still well below half of our
active members. It's a great beginning, but what about the other 80%? Maybe
you've been meaning to sign, but... Here's the process: 1) Take a copy of the
Covenant and the accompanying letter from the table in back of church; 2) If
you agree with the Covenant, sign the slip at the bottom of the letter and tear
it off: 3) Put the slip in the jar marked "Covenant of Racial Healing
Signers" in the niche just inside the side door. Let's move toward 100%

BOLIVIA SERVICE TRIP
I am very grateful for the blessing I
received on Sunday, June 5 at the 9 AM mass to send me off to Bolivia to do
community service with my classmates from LaSalle. I was to leave June 12th
for this trip. Over the past couple of weeks, Bolivia has experienced political
and social turmoil in some of the areas where we were to travel. So it was
decided that the trip would be postponed. We are all very disappointed but we
are hopeful that the trip will be rescheduled for December 26, 2005. Please
join me and my classmates in praying for the Bolivian people as they suffer
through this time. They are certainly the ones most affected by these troubles
in ;their country. David Tanney Ysavitz
