Thirty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time, 2021
Divine Teacher, you admonish those who profess false piety. Help us to emulate the lesson of the poor widow to give of our needs and not just our excess.
Lord, we pray that we may ever be mindful of those who are living in hardship and poverty. Bless those among us who are suffering, especially victims of the worldwide pandemic .
During this month in honor of Black Catholics, let us ever be mindful of the inequities that exist to this day both in our church and in our country.
We are reminded of our commitment to our faith as we pray for our Confirmandi who will receive the sacrament of Confirmation today at the Cathedral.
Let us pray for the countries affected by climate change, especially in Madagascar where the people are experiencing deadly famine.
Merciful Lord, bestow on your faithful followers a blanket of comfort as they mourn the loss of dear ones in this month of All Souls. Let us remember especially the families of Al Robinson and Bernie Madden.
